Butler County Baseball falls to Whitesville Trinity in district tournament

MORGANTOWN - Butler County came up short as Whitesville Trinity held on to win 4-3 in the semifinals of the 12th District Baseball Tournament on Monday, May 31.
After notching the win, Whitesville Trinity advances to the 12th District Baseball Tournament title game.
The loss eliminated Butler County from the postseason.
Each 12th District baseball team recorded six hits. However, Butler County committed four errors. 
Landon Huff earned the win on the mound for Whitesville Trinity. Huff pitched a complete game, allowing three runs on six hits while recording nine strikeouts over seven innings.
Jake McKee took the pitching loss for Butler County. McKee pitched six and two-thirds innings, allowing three runs on six hits while recording seven strikeouts. 
Carter Crisp and Hayden Aull led Whitesville Trinity at the plate, providing two hits apiece. Crisp drove in one run for the Raiders. 
Delivering defensively, Whitesville Trinity committed only one error in the victory. 
Hunter McKee, who pitched in relief, paced Butler County at the plate, recording two hits in four at-bats. 
Moving runners around the bases, Hunter McKee, Carter Graham and Ross West each drove in one run for the Bears.
