Butler County Judge Executive David Fields issued the following statement this morning:

Due to possible irregularities in the financial accounts of the office of the Butler County Attorney, Butler County Attorney, Richard J. Deye has requested that the Butler County Judge Executive request an audit of the accounts by the Kentucky Auditor of Public Accounts. Mr Deye has pledged his full cooperationwith the audit, has assured that all accounts will be properly reconciled, and has vowed that during the course of the audit the Office of the Butler County Attorney will continue to serve the needs of the public to the fullest extent.
