Butler County ATC Students of the Quarter

Butler County Area Technical Center has selected (5) students to represent each class for the first quarter of the year. Each of these students displays leadership qualities that made them eligible for this award. Congratulations to each one.

Dillon Kessinger (pictured above) is the student of the quarter for Industrial Maintenance.  Dillon is the type of person who never says “I can’t”, or never says “this is too hard.”  He is the type who will give it his best and strive to constantly become better at it.  With little to no previous experience in residential wiring or bending conduit, he worked and practiced enough in one semester to travel to regional skills competition and place 2nd overall in residential wiring.  If there ever is something that needs to be done right away, he is the go to guy.  He can produce quality work at a safe and efficient pace.  Dillon is capable of demonstrating skills to others as well as being a great team leader.  He has many skills that will make him more employable in the very near future.

Brandon Cunningham is the HVAC student of the quarter.  Brandon is consistently an excellent student in class, and has become very knowledgeable in HVAC topics.  Recently, he competed in the SkillsUSA regional Job Skills Demonstration contest and placed 1st.  He will go on to the state competition in April.  Brandon is planning to attend Sullivan University in Louisville in the fall to complete his HVAC training.

Breanna Hudnall is the student of the quarter for Health Sciences.  Bre is currently enrolled in a Pharmacy Technician Practicum and has maintained a high grade point average in the theory part of the course.  As part of the program, Breanna completes two days of clinical practice at King Drug in Morgantown and has demonstrated the attitudes and skills needed to succeed in the workplace

Matt Moore is student of the quarter for Automotive Technology. Matt is in the 10th grade and a first year student at the tech school. He competed in the regional automotive competition in Bowling Green representing BC ATC in February of this year. Matt is an outstanding young man with great work ethics.

Jacob Oliver is Carpentry’s student of the quarter.  Jacob is a very fast learner in the classroom and in the lab.  Jacob is the kind of student that leads by example.  He never gets frustrated or complains about any job and takes great pride in his craftsmanship.  Jacob will make somebody an excellent employee after graduation.
