Butler County Area Technology Center (ATC) has achieved an impressive milestone, ranking 6th among all statewide ATC centers in Kentucky with a remarkable 91.09% Accountability Score. This recognition highlights the center's commitment to preparing students for success in a rapidly growing economic landscape.

Under the leadership of Principal Ray Hammer and Superintendent Robert Tuck, Butler County Schools are setting the standard for workforce development and college and career readiness. An outstanding 46.3% of students earn dual credit, while 66.4% graduate with industry certifications, equipping them with the skills needed to thrive in high-demand fields.

The Butler County ATC serves 267 students, offering hands-on training in critical areas such as Carpentry, Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Welding, Health Science, and Automotive. These programs are designed to meet the needs of a skilled workforce, aligning with regional and national demands. With projections estimating 9,300 job openings in the region by 2034, Butler County ATC students are well-positioned to fill vital roles in Kentucky’s expanding job market.

***The Butler County Area Technology Center was also recently awarded a $1.7 million grant to renovate the current facility.  Facility Director Ryan Emmick stated “This competitive grant would allow for renovations to the current facility to ensure a conducive learning environment suitable to continued training and development of a next generation ready workforce.”***
