Butler County 4-H Teen Club Makes Christmas Cards for Morgantown Care & Rehab

On Tuesday, December 12, the Butler County Teen Club had their monthly meeting. At this meeting, we discussed the upcoming events happening in the Teen Club.

These included:

Volunteer Forum—February 8-10

Teen Retreat—April 20-22

The club elected Kiersten Foit as our new Sargent at Arms for the coming year. Congratulations to her!

In our new business, we discussed fundraising ideas for the club. We decided on starting a 4-H Teen Club cookbook as our fundraiser. Also, the Teen Club is planning on starting a middle school 4-H Club that would meet once a month. This club would learn about communication skills, the many programs offered through 4-H, and how to make projects for the county fair.

After the meeting, Kara McFadyen led a community service project to make Christmas cards for the people at Morgantown Rehab Center. The club made over 70 cards to be given out to the residents.

If you know a teen that would be interested in any of these events, please join us at our next meeting on January 2, 2018, at 4 p.m. at the Extension Office. There will be many great educational and fun-filled events happening next year. We would be glad to have you!
