Butler County 2019 Graduation

Valedictorian Elizabeth Claire Coleman.

The Butler County High School Gymnasium was packed on Friday, May 24th for the commencement of the graduating class of 2019. About 150 students graduated, including 12 students named Valedictorian with a perfect GPA of 4.0 and one student receiving Salutatorian with a 3.98 GPA.

The ceremony began with a presentation of colors by the NJROTC Color Guard and the National Anthem performed by the Butler County Senior Choir. Invocation was given by Delaney Allyn Embry, member of the senior class. The BCHS Choir began with a performance of “Alma Mater” followed by “The Road Home” by Stephen Paulus. A recognition of seniors enlisted in the US Military and presentation of awards and recognitions took place followed by a speech given by Valedictorian, Elizabeth Claire Coleman.

The senior time of fellowship took place, allowing all seniors a brief moment of fellowship and time to gather as a group one last time as the class of 2019. The presentation of diplomas then took place and Principal Michael Gruber officially congratulated the students. Graduates were then asked to move their tassels to the left and the traditional cap toss ended the ceremony.

The Class of 2019 Valedictorians were: Sarah Elizabeth Belcher, Michelle Dawn Cardwell, Elizabeth Claire Coleman, Delaney Allyn Embry, Kasidy Jane Graham, Brooklynn Nichole Henderson, Brinkley Eden Hunt, Chloe Elizabeth Jenkins, Dana Katherine Newland, Paul Alexander Rich, Bailey Suzanne Stinson, and Alyssa Ronette Swift. 

The class of 2019 Salutatorian was Reese Karissa Robbins.
