Butler Co. Sheriff's Department: Speeding leads to drug arrest

On June 19th around 1:48 am Butler County Sheriff's Deputy Chris Reneer observed a 1996 green Grand Prix traveling westbound on KY 70 Rochester Road at a high rate of speed.  Reneer paces the vehicle at speeds of 100mph in a 55mph zone through the stretch by Cedar Ridge Raceway. 

Upon making contact with the driver, Harry Joe Milam, 36, of Morgantown a metal container and a set of keys were in his lap.  The contents of the container were three baggies of suspected meth and marijuana.  A search of the vehicle found a case containing a digital scales.  The three baggies contained 1.8 grams. 

The vehicle was towed by Tichenor Towing and Milam was lodged in the Butler County Jail.  Charges included: speeding 26 mph or >, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st offense, possession of drug paraphernalia- Buy/Possess, and possession of marijuana.
