Janeen Taylor: Call of Home
When a person becomes older, the call of home becomes louder. In my case, it became deafening. An opportunity arose to purchase my Aunt Nancy Taylor’s cottage home in 2012. Since it was a block away from where I was raised I knew it was meant to be. An interest of mine is studying the progress of the building of homes. This home was built after the influence of the Sears Craftsman home. It is a simple two bedroom, one bath which I hope to completely restore to the 1950’s look. But, for now, it serves as a home where I have gathered memories of family and friends while making new ones. Please come by and say hello and stay awhile. Refreshments will be served and if you’re hungry I’ll “fix ya something.”
