Busy Saturday in Woodbury

This Saturday, June 3rd, is slated to be a busy one in Woodbury. Beginning at 8:00 am there will be the Green River Ramble. Sponsored by the Morgantown Trail Town Task Force, the Ramble offers the opportunity to paddle the Green River through Butler County. The ramble begins at Lock 4 in Woodbury and ends in nine miles at the Aberdeen Boat Ramp. To sign up to participate, click here.  

In conjunction with the Ramble will be the Green River Museum Opening Day Event. The event will feature lunch for purchase, Butler County Arts Guild booths, museum tours, an SAR flag presentation and more! The festivities will run from 9-3.  According to Tommy Hines, President of the Green River Musuem Board of Directors, the Green River Museum opens this Saturday for the 2023 season, with new exhibits about a variety of Butler County History topics. Thanks to the generosity of our citizens, there are all sorts of objects to see this year, all with ties of local history. We are very happy to be working in conjunction with the Green River Ramble and the opening of the new RV Park.” 

Finally, the grand opening of the Woodbury RV Park, the first RV Park in Butler County, will take place from 11:30 to 1:00At the event, there will be free entertainment provided by students from Music with Murphy, booths set up by various camping companies, giveaways and free lunch.
