The burn ban that has been in effect for Butler County since June has been lifted.

Butler County Judge-Executive David Fields has signed an Executive Order declaring a ban on open burning in Butler County, effective immediately. No person shall light or maintain an open fire at any location in Butler County while this ban is in effect. Any person violating this ban shall be subject to fines and penalties. This ban shall remain in effect until further notice. According to Judge Fields, fireworks are not banned as of this time.
