Tyrone Rife said he didn't even know that he had been selected as the March Beech Tree News Fan of the Month until he received calls and text messages from friends.

"I'm just real excited to be selected as the Fan of the Month," said Rife. "I'm surprised, but really appreciative to have won."

Rife describes himself as someone who likes to eat, especially Garcia's, so the choice was easy for him. Rife selected Garcia's Mexican Restaurant in Morgantown as the business where he wanted to spend his $50.

"We're excited for Tyrone and for the folks at Garcia's. We love being able to support not only our fans, but the local economy as well," said Beech Tree Media President Diane Dyer.

As part of the BTN/Facebook promotion, daily winners (M-F) are randomly selected from the 2,600+ fans of the Beech Tree News Facebook page. Daily winners receive a two liter RC or Sundrop. From the pool of daily winners, a monthly winner is randomly selected and receives a $50 gift certificate to the local business of their choice.
