John W. Brown has been looking for a good excuse to get some new dress clothes for special functions and Beech Tree Media was able to supply him with that good excuse. Brown received the Beech Tree News Fan of the Month honors for the month of December and he elected to spend his $50 at Garrison's.

"I am excited that I was chosen as the Beech Tree Fan of the Month for December. I love how this promotion encourages people to shop local by giving them a gift certificate that they can only use at a Morgantown business. I shop local for everything that I can; not only does it support our local economy, it can also save you money. By the time I drive anywhere else I will have already spent what I could have saved in gas. I want to encourage everyone to shop local as much as they can, when they can," said Brown.

As part of the BTN/Facebook promotion, daily winners (M-F) were randomly selected from the over 2,480 fans of the Beech Tree News Facebook page. Daily winners received a two liter RC or Sundrop. From the pool of daily winners, a monthly winner was randomly selected and received a $50 gift certificate to the local business of their choice.

"We're happy to support not only our fans but our local economy by running this promotion," said Diane Dyer, president of Beech Tree Media.

The BTN/FB promotion concluded at the end of December.
