Beech Tree News Fan of the Month for May Floyd Washer chose to spend his $50 winnings at Dr. Todd Cohron's office. Washer was looking to buy a new set of glasses for his daughter, Leslee. Leslee said she had sat on the previous pair and the frame was being held together by a band-aid.

"We would like to thank both Floyd and Dr. Cohron for participating in our promotion," said Dyer.  "One of the reasons our Facebook promotion has been so popular is because we let the person decide where they want to spend their money locally, instead of us deciding for them."

Dyer continued, "We also want to thank Dr. Cohron for being a sponsor of Beech Tree as well."

As part of the BtN/Facebook promotion, daily winners (M-F) were randomly selected from the 2,800+ fans of the Beech Tree News Facebook page. Daily winners received a two liter RC or Sundrop. From the pool of daily winners, a monthly winner was randomly selected and received a $50 gift certificate to the local business of their choice. The BtN/Facebook promotion came to an end in June.
