BtN Candidate Questionnaire: Sharon Phelps

1) Please describe the duties, as you see them, of holding the seat of which you are seeking and how you plan to fulfill those responsibilities.
My duties to the city of Morgantown is to listen to the people who live here and to truly care about them. Also, to help the city of Morgantown grow and be a town our children and grandchildren will be proud of.

2) What do you feel is the #1 issue that needs to be addressed in Morgantown/Butler County? If elected, what specific steps will you take to address this issue?
It's hard to say what the number one issue is because even though we are a small town, there is a lot of work to keep it moving in the right direction, which we are doing at the present time. The main thing is to address one issue at a time and get it took care of and move on to the next.

3) What do you see as Morgantown/Butler County’s greatest asset? How do you plan to expose and promote this positive feature?
I think at this time our park is our greatest asset. I think we should seek out different events to come to Morgantown (such as the tractor show coming up) bringing out of town people as well as local people to our town.

4) Where do you see Morgantown/Butler County in five years?
I see Morgantown being a beautiful town where people will come to raise their families and where different businesses will want to come.

5) What qualifications do you believe you possess that would make you qualified for the position you are seeking?
My most important qualification is that I care and love my town and the people in it. I have learned a lot in the past two years about how things are done. There are a lot of things to learn and do and it takes all of us working together to do it. I also trust in my faith in God to help in anything we do, if we ask Him.
