BOYS' HIGH SCHOOL BASKETBALL : Bears outlast Christian County 62-59

GEORGETOWN — Butler County outlasted Christian County 62-59 in the Jersey Mike's Classic at Great Crossing High School on Saturday, Dec. 2.

After notching the win, Butler County moved to 3-0. 

Starting strong, Butler County outscored Christian County 16-9 in the first quarter.

The Bears, under the direction of Coach Calvin Dockery, led 38-27 at halftime. 

Remaining out in front midway through the second half, Butler County led 46-42 at the end of the third quarter. 

Ty price scored 21 points to lead Butler County to the win.

Accompanying Price in double figures for Butler County, Briar Griffin scored 18 points and Lawson Rice netted 12 points.

Rounding out Butler County's scoring, Trever Deweese added six points and Justin Castlen contributed five points. 

Lawson Rice was named MVP of the game.
