Body of Missing Man Found

A Butler County man missing since last weekend has been found dead in an automobile near Highway 70 West.


The body of Robin E. Hudnall, 53, was located this morning and he was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner's Office. Hudnall was last seen alive around midnight on Saturday, April 9th in Rochester.
Butler County Sheriff Scottie Ward began a search for Hudnall last weekend. He spoke to AT&T and had Hudnall's phone pinged, but it had not been used since making a call at 12:13 a.m. Sunday.
On Thursday a student on a Butler County School bus told the driver they thought they had seen a car in the woods alongside Flatrock Hill on Highway 70 West. The driver reported the sighting to the school system on Friday morning. Just past 7 am. employees from the bus garage investigated and saw a  1999 Oldsmobile Cutlass down a steep bank, and wedged between two trees. Further investigation by Sheriff Ward revealed the body of Hudnall.
Hudnall was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Marty Jones. Jones said the body has been sent for an autopsy, but no foul play is suspected.

The Kentucky State Police Post 3 Bowling Green responded to a single vehicle injury collision today at approx. 7:12 am near the 2900 block of Rochester Road in Butler County.  When units arrived on the scene it was discovered that the occupant was deceased.
The preliminary investigation indicated that Robin Hudnall (52) of Rochester was operating a 1992 Oldsmobile passenger car and was traveling eastbound on Rochester Road when he failed to negotiate a curve.  His vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and traveled down an embankment where he struck a tree.
Mr. Hudnall was pronounced dead at the scene by the Butler County Coroner and an autopsy will be performed in Louisville by the Medical Examiner’s Office.  Hudnall had been reported missing on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at approx. 5:30 am where he was entered as a missing person by the Butler County Sheriff’s Department.
The investigation is still ongoing and being conducted by Master Trooper Terry Alexander.  He was assisted on the scene by Sergeant Tucker Carmichael, KSP Detectives Jeremy Hodges and Adam Morgan, Butler County Sheriff’s Department, Butler County Coroner, Butler County EMS, Butler County Rescue Squad, and the Morgantown Fire Department.
