Benefit raises over $5K for Fowler Family

A benefit held Saturday, September 21, in the Morgantown Elementary School gymnasium for the family of Kylee James Fowler raised over $5,700. Kylee is the daughter of Casey and Susan Fowler and was born 14 weeks premature on July 14, 2019 at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital. Doctors expect her to remain at Vanderbilt until at least her due date in mid-October. Kylee weighed two pounds two ounces when she was born and now weighs over six pounds.

The benefit included singing by the Richland Baptist Church Praise Band and Kyle Whitaker, a live auction, and food was also sold.  Benefit organizer Jenel Brooks said, "Our community never ceases to amaze me with their generosity and support."

Kylee's mom, Susan, said, "All your generous donations will help with our long journey more than you will ever know. We don't know what we would do without each and every one of you. Please continue to keep our family in your prayers. We know they are working. Our beautiful, strong miracle proves that to us every single day she lays in that hospital. We love you all so much, and we are so proud to be from our small town community!"
