Belmont hosts Heaven's Gates and Hell's Flames

Heaven’s Gates and Hell’s Flames, presented by Belmont Church and Reality Outreach Ministries, began Sunday, September 8 and concluded Tuesday with performances nightly at 7 p.m.

Over four hundred witnessed the Sunday night performance.

Dewayne and Renee Corbin with Reality Outreach Ministries have completely updated this performance with all new lighting, and sound effects.

The ministry has been providing this play for thousands of people for over 25 years and Belmont invites them to their church every two years.

Interim Pastor Buddy Brooks welcomed everyone and this very intense drama began with strobe lights and sound for the crucifixion of Jesus.

With only two days to memorize their lines, the cast was very believable. Shirley Flener and Billy Henderson played the part of duck hunters and used humor to deliver their very serious message .

Jesus was played by Andy Taylor and the Devil was played by a very intimidating Heath Cardwell .

There are several mini-segments where people are talking about sin and whether being saved through the blood of Jesus or by good works will get you to Heaven .

Over 75 people were involved in this production, including the cast, stage hands, costumes, and make-up.
