Sally is a senior at Butler County High School and a Captain of the BCHS varsity cheerleading squad. She is the daughter of Adam and Casey Butler. The Butler family resides in southern Butler County.

Sally began cheering in elementary school and continued her cheer career throughout middle and high school. Throughout the years, Sally competed and placed in many competitions and spent lots of summers at UCA camps which was one of her favorite parts of the cheer season.

Many of Sally’s family members were a part of sports teams. Sally’s dad, Adam, also played high school baseball for Warren Central. Sally’s brother, Trenton, races ATV at the national level and has won many races all across the US.

Sally’s uncle, Keith Butler, played baseball for BCHS and went on to play collegiately for Wabash Valley College. He was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 2009 and made his Major League Baseball debut in 2013. He was a part of the 2013 MLB National League Championship team.

Her team finished second place in the 2024 UCA cheerleading competition for the 2023-24 school year and received a bid to nationals in Orlando, Florida.

During Sally’s senior cheer season, the BCHS cheer squad helped cheer the Butler County Bears to the third region championship title along with receiving the “Most School Spirit” award for the entire third region.

Sally was also a part of the BCHS “Road to Rupp” experience as she and her squad had the privilege of cheering for the 3rd regional champion Butler County Bears as they competed in the KHSAA sweet sixteen boys basketball championship at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.

Besides cheering, Sally works hard in the classroom as she prepares for her future in nursing. Sally has completed all but two prerequisites for nursing school and passed the CNA exam in fall 2022. Sally currently works as a CNA at a christian care communities assisted living facility.

Sally has been awarded the “leadership award” for her team and was a Captain of the BCHS cheer squad her senior year. She was also named to the KHSAA 12th district All-Cheer team for the 2024 season.

Sally’s favorite cheer memories was being a part of a team who qualified and competed at UCA nationals for the first time in 30 years and ending her senior year by cheering on the Bears at Rupp Arena.

After graduation, Sally plans to begin nursing school and hopes to become a pediatric nurse or psychiatric-mental health nurse.

Congratulations on an amazing cheerleading career and all your accomplishments while at BCHS, Sally!
