Beech Tree News presents: "Bears Spotlight" Bailey Moore
Bailey is a starting guard and team captain for the BCHS Lady Bears basketball team, and team captain for the Varsity Lady Bears soccer team. She is a senior at BCHS and the daughter of Kyle and Kim Moore.
Bailey began playing basketball at the age of five, and has been in love with the sport ever since she first picked up the ball. Bailey began her career in the Butler County junior pro league and continued to play for the BCMS and BCHS Lady Bears. She was a part of the 2021 GRVC Championship as a BCMS Lady Bear.
Bailey has been a part of two 12th district championship titles for the BCHS Lady Bears and advanced to the region tournament three years of her high school career. She was awarded the All-District Tournament award for the 2023 season.
Bailey is also a member of the varsity Lady Bears soccer team. She has received a scholarship to play collegiate soccer.
Bailey’s dad, Kyle, played basketball for BCHS during the 1992-96 seasons. He also ran track and field in the same seasons.
Bailey maintains a 3.87 GPA, is involved in FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes), BCHS Choir, BCHS Track & Field, and is a peer tutor.
Bailey has committed to continue her athletic career in basketball at Brescia University. She plans to attend college and earn her degree in elementary education and hopefully become a kindergarten teacher.
Bailey works at the Morgantown City Pool as a lifeguard in the summers.
