The Butler County Bears played .500 ball last week in the 2nd Annual BtN/WLBQ Christmas Classic.  Butler County fell 63-48 in its Monday opener against Buckhorn, while picking up an 82-45 win over Hickman County on Tuesday.  

Butler County trailed 34-26 at the half against Buckhorn and wasn't able to come back in second half, losing the third quarter 15-12 and the fourth quarter 14-10.  

The Bears had three players in double figures - Rex Henderson with 14 points, Baylee Anderson with 12 points, and Blake Graham with 10 points.

The Bears rolled to a lopsided win on Tuesday agains Hickman County, 82-45.  A relatively close first quarter, 17-12, gave way to solid Butler County scoring margins the rest of the way.  

Baylee Anderson, Brennan Grubb, and Caleb Beasley each had 15 points for the Bears.  Blake Graham and Rex Henderson had 1o points apiece.

Other scores from the BtN/WLBQ Christmas Classic were McLean County over Henry County, 69-61; Green County defeated Henry County 55-51; Buckhorn slipped by McLean 56-56.  On Tuesday, Green County easily defeated McLean County, 62-43, while Buckhorn handed Henry County a 51-36 loss.

Butler County (3-6) will return to action on Friday, December 30, on the road at Hancock County (9-1).  It will be a varsity only contest beginning at 4:30 p.m.
