Bears to visit Todd County Central

MORGANTOWN — Looking to halt a two-game losing skid, Butler County is scheduled to visit Todd County Central for a Class 2A, District 2 game on Friday, Oct. 14.

The Bears have dropped back-to-back Class 2A, District 2 games. 

Butler County is 5-2 overall and 1-2 in Class 2A, District 2. The Bears have notched wins over Russellville, Edmonson County, Breckinridge County, Grayson County and McLean County. Butler County has lost games to Class 2A, District 2 rivals Hancock County and Owensboro Catholic. 

Through seven games, Butler County has outscored opponents 189-107.

Todd County is 4-3 overall and 0-2 in Class 2A, District 2. The Rebels have posted wins over Fort Campbell, Webster County, Hopkins County Central and Monroe County. Todd County Central has dropped games to Trigg County, McLean County and Owensboro Catholic. 

Through its first seven games, Todd County Central holds a slim scoring advantage of 233-227 over opponents. 

The Rebels held on to beat the Bears 18-12 during the 2021 high school football season.

Butler County has additional regular season games remaining versus Clinton County and Ohio County. 

Kickoff for the upcoming Butler County-Todd County Central game is set for 7 p.m. in Elkton.
