Bears to visit Glasgow for district finale
MORGANTOWN — Butler County is set to visit Glasgow for its final Class 3A, District 2 matchup in the 2024 high school football season on Friday, Oct. 25.
The Bears and Scotties are familiar rivals. Butler County suffered a shutout loss to Glasgow during the 2023 high school football season. Glasgow blanked Butler County 47-0 in a Class 3A, District 2 matchup Oct. 20, 2023.
Butler County will be looking to prevail on the road and notch its first win in the 2024 high school football season. The Bears are 0-8 overall and 0-3 in Class 3A, District 2. Butler County has dropped games to Logan County, Webster County, Warren Central, Grayson County, Hart County, Franklin-Simpson, Bethlehem and Adair County.
But, despite its record, Butler County is averaging 334 yards of total offense per game.

Glasgow is 3-5 overall and 0-3 in Class 3A, District 2. After opening the 2024 high school football season with three straight wins over LaRue County, Russellville and Monroe County, Glasgow is currently on a five-game losing streak. Glasgow's current skid consists of losses to Allen County-Scottsville, Barren County, Adair County, Franklin-Simpson and Hart County.
The Scotties are averaging 249.8 yards of total offense per game.
