The Butler County Track Team traveled to Lexington on May, 28th to compete in the Class A State Meet. BCHS had several entries this year including the Girls 4X800 Relay, Kierra Neighbors in the 100 hurdles, Boys 4X100 Relay, Hannah Perry in the 800M, and the Boys 4X400 relay. “It is great to see so many Butler County athletes qualify for the State Meet. It is a great way to end a great season.” Described Coach Donaldson.

Butler County saw good times and competition throughout the day and was able to break a school record in the 800m Run. Hannah Perry finished with a time of 2:32.15, breaking the school record of 2:32.80 set by Kaitlyn Embry in 2003. “This is a great feeling, Kaitlyn was my first running coach, and I look up to her. It is an honor to have my name added to the record books.” Explained Junior Hannah Perry. “This was a goal this season, and to see this happen at the State Meet is awesome. I would like to thank my coaches for always pushing me and making me better. Added Perry.

Butler County ends its season with many school records being set and will graduate nine seniors. “We will miss the leadership of these seniors, and wish them the very best.” Said Coach Fuller.
