Bears Sweeps 5-Team Meet in Short Sprint Races

The BCHS Track and Field Team continued their season Tuesday, March 29th at Grayson County, and competed against Grayson, Edmonson, Hart, and Hancock Counties. The Bears showed off their speed to the fans and competing teams, picking up wins in the Girls 100m Dash, 4X100m Relay, Boys 100m Dash, 200m Dash, 4x100m Relay, and 4x200m Relay. Coach Gary pointed out, “We are a TEAM, and you can see everyone stepping up to cheer their teammates on. Very exciting to see!”

The track team has had new additions to the team this year, and this has added to the early success. “We are excited to have the new team members this year. Baylee Anderson, Patton Allen, and Austin Nave have come in with little experience and have been competitive from day one,” said Coach Fuller.
The Bears showed improvement in times from the previous meet and impressed throughout the night. “This is only our 2nd meet, and it is the first meet for many on the team,” Coach Donaldson explained. “We have seen time improvements across the board tonight.”

This was the second meet of the season for the Bears, and the team will continue the season on Thursday, March 31st at South Warren, and will return to further action after Spring Break.
