The Butler County Track and Field Team returned to true form on Tuesday, April 26^th at South Warren, setting three new school records. “It has been a great night for Butler County.” Expressed Coach Fuller. “It is a great thing to see.”

Butler County broke school records in the Girls’ 4X200 meter relay. The Girls’ 4X100 meter relay, and The Boys’ Discus. The Girls’ 4X200 team consists of: Autumn Jenkins, Hannah Logan, Erica Daugherty, Maranda Pierson, and Michelle Cardwell. They recorded a time of 2:06.00, breaking the school record of 2:06.38 set in 2012. “My goal was to break a school record before I graduated, and I am so happy that the team was able to help me reach that goal.” Senior Erica Daugherty explained. 

The Girls’ 4X100 meter relay team consists of: Maranda Pierson, Kierra Neighbors, Erica Daugherty, Michelle Cardwell, and Hannah Logan. They recorded a time of 58.06, breaking the school record of 58.62 set in 2014. “What a night! We are pumped, and I’m so proud of these girls!” Added senior Maranda Pierson. 

Dalton Lee set the record for Boys’ Discus with a throw of 105-09, breaking the school record of 105-7 set by Chris Neighbors in 1993. 

“This team has worked hard and is starting to hit its stride at the right time of the season.” Explained Coach Donaldson. “We have a few weeks left to prepare for Regionals, and will only get better from here.”

Butler County continues its season on Thursday, April 28^th at McLean County, and Tuesday, May 3^rd at Muhlenberg County.
