Bears ranked 10th in state

LOUISVILLE - Butler County is ranked 10th in the latest Kentucky Associated Press Class 2A Poll.
The Bears compiled a 4-1 record during the first half of the 2021 high school football regular season.
 
Butler County is listed behind Caldwell County, Metcalfe County, Murray, Green County, Danville, Middlesboro, Mayfield, Beechwood and top-ranked Lexington Christian in the statewide poll.
West Carter, Owensboro Catholic, Hancock County, McLean County and Prestonsburg received votes for the 2A Poll, which was released on Monday, Sept. 27.
Brandon Embry-coached Butler County is scheduled to host Hancock County for a Class 2A, District 2 game on Friday, Oct. 2. Kickoff for the Butler County-McLean County football game is slated for 7 p.m..
