The Bears make the most of seven hits in 5-4 victory over Trinity

The Bears and Trinity both had scoring chances on Tuesday, but it was the Bears that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-4 district win at home. Trinity got eight hits compared with just seven for the Bears, but Trinity stranded eight on base.

Madeline Drake racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Bears. She doubled in the fifth inning and singled in the seventh inning.

Morgan Manning got the win for the Bears. She allowed four runs over seven innings. Manning struck out three, walked one and gave up eight hits.

The top of the second saw Trinity take an early lead, 1-0. The Bears answered Trinity's top inning with two runs of their own in the fifth. The Bears scored on an RBI double by Drake and an RBI triple by Amy Rogers.

The Bears' bats came alive in the sevnth inning.  Hannah Peach, Payton Grubb, singled followed by a single by Drake scoring Madison "Boo" Clark (pinch runner for Peach).  Amy Rogers hits a sacifrice fly allowing Grubb to score.  With two outs, Manning scores Drake for the win on a single to center field.
