Bears level Logan County, 71-29

MORGANTOWN - Butler County pulled away to beat visiting Logan County 71-29 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday, Jan. 11. 

After notching the win, Butler County improved to 11-3.

Remaining winless, Logan County dropped to 0-12. 

Butler County shot 50 percent (28-of-56) from the field. The Bears shot 40 percent (10-of-25) from three-point range.

Butler County shot 83.3 percent (five-of-six) from the free throw line. 

Brody Hunt scored a game-high 26 points to lead Butler County to the win. Accompanying Hunt in double figures for the Bears, Lawson Rice scored 15 points and Solomon Flener netted 11 points.

The additional scorers for Butler County in the win included Jagger Henderson (eight points), Braden Dockery (five points), Zack Phelps (four points) and Isaac Dockery (two points). 

Butler County is scheduled to visit Grayson County for a 12th District boys' basketball game on Friday, Jan. 14.
