Bears to host Adair County on Senior Night

MORGANTOWN — Butler County is set to host Adair County on Senior Night Friday, Oct. 18.

The Bears and Indians will meet for a Class 3A, District 2 matchup.

Butler County will be looking to break into the win column for the first time in the 2023 high school football season, which kicked off on Friday, Aug. 23. 

Adair County notched a win over Butler County during the 2023 high school football season. The Indians defeated the Bears 33-13 on Oct. 13, 2023. 

Butler County is 0-7 overall and 0-2 in Class 3A, District 2. The Bears have dropped games to Logan County, Webster County, Warren Central, Grayson County, Hart County, Franklin-Simpson and Bethlehem. However, Butler County has suffered three losses via single digits.

Adair County is 6-1 overall and 2-1 in Class 3A, District 2. The Indians have notched wins over Russell County, Caverna, LaRue County, Franklin-Simpson, Monroe County and Glasgow. However, Hart County dealt Adair County a loss earlier in the month. 

Butler County has regular season games remaining versus Adair County, Glasgow and Ohio County. Head coach Josh Robins guides the Bears.

Members of the Butler County football, cheer, cross country and golf teams will be recognized beginning at 6 p.m. 

Kickoff for the Butler County-Adair County football game is set for 7 p.m.
