On Friday, the Bears traveled to BreckenridgeCountyto face the Tigers.  The Bears were without a couple of starters due to the Spring Football game and they once again found themselves struggling at the plate and in the field.   One of the lone highlights for the Bears was a diving catch by 8th grader Lucas Tichenor in right field who was making his first career varsity start.   The Bears managed only one hit (B. Graham) and committed 5 errors in helping the Tigers win 10-0 in 5 innings.

On Saturday, the Bears finally got the opportunity to play in front of the home crowd inMorgantown.  The Bears were looking to pay back Mclean Co. for a 10 run loss earlier in the year.   Rex Henderson took the mound and pitched a great game for the Bears going 6 2/3 innings giving up only one earned run and striking out 10 batters.  The Bears took a 5-2 lead into the 7thinning.  Blake Graham came into the game with 2 outs in the 7th inning and the bases loaded and notched a huge strikeout for the save and to secure the Bears win, 5-2.   Offensively, the Bears still struggled at the plate overall with only 4 hits (Casteel, Henderson, C. Parker, and C. Hunt) but it was enough thanks to the great effort on the mound and defensively.
