Bears fall to Central Kentucky Homeschool

OWENSBORO - Butler County was unable to land in the win column over the weekend as Central Kentucky Homeschool held on to win 72-68 in the Agrigold Winter Classic at Owensboro Sportscenter on Saturday, Jan. 16.

With the loss, Butler County dropped to 0-2.

Butler County shot 43.9 percent (25-of-57) from the field. The Bears were 6-of-18 (33.3 percent) from 3-point range.

Butler County shot 80 percent (12-of-15) from the free throw line.

Solomon Flener netted 18 points to lead the Bears. Flener was 2-of-3 from 3-point field goal range.

Butler County featured three scorers in double figures.

Accompanying Flener in double figures for the Bears, Brody Hunt scored 15 points and Jagger Henderson added 14 points.

Hayden Hodge (seven points), Leevi McMillin (six points), Isaac Dockery (five points), and Briar Griffin (three points) combined to round out the Bears' individual scoring in the setback.
