Bears drop non-district game to Bethlehem, enter bye week

MORGANTOWN — Butler County couldn't limit its opponent as Bethlehem pulled away to win 53-20 in a non-district high school football game on Friday, Oct. 4.

Bethlehem, which competes in Class 1A, District 2, scored first and exited the opening quarter ahead 7-0.

The Eagles led 22-8 at halftime and remained in control throughout the second half of the non-district matchup.

Butler County has the week of Friday, Oct. 11 open on it schedule. 

The Bears entered the bye week 0-7.

Butler County has regular season games remaining versus Adair County, Glasgow and Ohio County. The Bears are scheduled to host Adair County for a Class 3A, District 2 matchup on Friday, Oct. 18. Butler County is slated to entertain the Indians in a home finale.

Following the game versus Adair County, Butler County will visit both Glasgow and Ohio County over the final two weeks of the 2024 high school football regular season.
