Bears down Edmonson County, 15-2

BROWNSVILLE - Butler County pulled away to defeat homestanding Edmonson County 15-2 in a 12th District softball game on Tuesday, April 27.

Aliceson Hunt earned the win in the circle for Butler County. Hunt allowed six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking one.

Julie Norris took the pitching loss for Edmonson County. Norris surrendered seven runs on six hits over three innings, striking out two.

The Bears scored 15 runs on 15 hits in the district game. Butler County outhit Edmonson County 15-6.

Aleace Hall and Carley Jones each homered for Butler County in the district win.

Hall, Jones, Autumn Proctor, Olivia Austin and Madison Clark each collected multiple hits for the Bears. Hall went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead Butler County's offensive attack.

Edmonson County tallied six hits in the district game. Shea Vanmeter and Hallie Cassady each collected multiple hits for the Cats.
