Bears beat Aces for third straight win

MORGANTOWN - Hayden Hodge scored 20 points to lead Butler County over visiting Cloverport 76-51 in a boys' high school basketball game on Tuesday night. 
With the win, Butler County improved to 12-2.
Cloverport dropped to 1-12 with the loss. 
Following Hodge in double figures in scoring for the Bears and recording a double-double, Parker Rice netted 18 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. 
Butler County featured three scorers in double figures. Accompanying Hodge and Rice in double figures in scoring for the Bears, Jagger Henderson posted 12 points.
Butler County took control early and forced Cloverport to play from behind throughout the matchup. The Bears boasted several double digit leads. 
Butler County shot 40.8 percent (29-of-71) from the field. The Bears were 11-of-31 (35.5 percent) from 3-point range.

The additional scorers for Butler County in the win were Leevi McMillin (seven points), Brody Hunt (six points), Isaac Dockery (four points), Macauley Hampton (three points), Solomon Flener (two points), Zach Tutko (two points) and Trey Stovall (two points). 
Butler County is scheduled to visit Grayson County for a 12th District boys' basketball game on Friday night. Tip-off for the Butler County-Grayson County boys' basketball matchup is set for 7:30 p.m. in Leitchfield.
