Bears Baseball exceeds 2015 win total with over half of season remaining

With nearly half of the 2016 campaign completed, the Butler County High School Bears Baseball team stands at 6-12. Though below .500, the Bears have already exceeded their 2015 win total of 5.

The Bears experienced their most successful spurt of the season March 26-29, nabbing three victories during the period. The three-game win streak featured two run-rule wins (10-0 victory against Lincoln County and a 12-2 win over McLean County). The Bears handled Todd County Central 8-3 in an away game March 28.

The Bears returned to action on Thursday at Franklin-Simpson where they fell 14-4 to the Wildcats, a traditional baseball power in the Fourth Region. Earlier in the week, Butler County dropped a 6-1 decision on the road at Breckinridge County.
