Bears average over 300 rushing yards per game

MORGANTOWN — Unbeaten Butler County (3-0) is averaging 301.7 rushing yards per game in the 2022 high school football season.
Through three games, Butler County is averaging 4.3 rushing touchdowns per outing.
In three games, Butler County has rushed 108 times for 905 yards and 13 touchdowns.
Colton Dunnells and Brody Hunt have each rushed for 288 yards, sharing team-high rushing honors. Dunnells and Hunt have rushed for six touchdowns and three touchdowns, respectively. 
Following Dunnells and Hunt on the ground for the Bears, Keagen Grubb has rushed for 165 yards. 
Behind Grubb, Gage Beasley has rushed for 97 yards and one touchdown. 
Garrett Phelps leads Butler County through the air. Phelps has completed seven passes for 180 yards and two touchdowns. 
Grubbs and Chambers have hauled in three receptions apiece for the Bears. Chambers has reeled in both of Phelps' scoring passes.
Defensively, Logan Hargrove has recorded a team-high 26 tackles for the Bears. Ranking second in the key defensive category for Butler County, Dunnells has delivered 25 tackles. Hargrove and Dunnells have each registered three sacks. 
Under the direction of Coach Brandon Embry, Butler County has outscored its first three opponents in the 2022 season 115-19. 
Butler County is scheduled to host Grayson County on Friday, Sept. 9. Kickoff for the Butler County-Grayson County football game is set for 7 p.m. in Morgantown.
