Price pours in 50 points, leads Bears to win over Raiders
MORGANTOWN — Senior guard Ty Price poured in 50 points to lead Butler County over Whitesville Trinity 99-56 in a 12th District boys' basketball game on Friday, Dec. 13.

The victory allowed Butler County to sweep Whitesville Trinity on homecoming.
With the win, Butler County improved to 3-1 overall and opened 1-0 in the 12th District.
Butler County took control early, outscoring Whitesville Trinity 23-14 in the first quarter.
The Bears led 49-31 at halftime and remained in control throughout the second half.
Butler County led 77-48 at the conclusion of the third period.
Accompanying Price in double figures for Butler County, Justin Castlen scored 12 points while Briar Griffin and Curtis Murphy netted 11 points apiece.
Contributing offensively, Trever Deweese (four points), Case Hooten (four points), Clayton Deweese (two points), Carson Davis (two points), Garrett Phelps (two points) and Cainan Vincent (one point) were Butler County's additional scorers.

Bears drop game to Jeffersontown
LOUISVILLE — Butler County slipped into the column as Jeffersontown battled back from behind to win 81-72 in a matchup at St. Xavier on Saturday, Dec. 14.
Following the loss, Butler County fell to 3-2.
Reigning 3rd Region boys' basketball champion Butler County suffered the setback after leading 43-34 at halftime.
Ty Price scored 25 points to pace the Bears. Price led a group of four Butler County scorers in double figures.

Accompanying Price in double figures for Butler County, Justin Castlen scored 16 points, Briar Griffin netted 12 points and Trever Deweese supplied 11 points.
Rounding out Butler County's scoring, Case Hooten added five points and Curtis Murphy contributed three points.
Butler County is scheduled to host 3rd Region rival Apollo for its next game at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16.
