Bears’ Softball to host Trinity for season opener; Bears’ Baseball to visit South Warren
MORGANTOWN - Butler County is set to host 12th District rival Whitesville Trinity for an opener in the 2021 high school softball season on Monday, March 29.
First pitch for the Butler County-Whitesville Trinity softball game is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.

High school softball teams throughout the state were sidelined in 2020. The 2020 Kentucky high school softball season was canceled due to COVID-19.
Butler County compiled a 22-12 record during the 2019 high school softball season.
The Lady Bears' 2021 schedule includes games versus Whitesville Trinity, Daviess County, Ballard Memorial, Meade County, North Hardin, Grayson County, McLean County. Holy Cross (Louisville), Hancock County, Todd County Central, Edmonson County, Warren Central, Hopkins County Central, Owensboro, Russellville, Muhlenberg County, Logan County, Ohio County, Apollo and Franklin-Simpson.

Butler County compiled a 17-17 record during the 2019 high school baseball season. The Bears captured the 2019 12th District title and made an appearance in the 3rd Region Baseball Tournament.
Butler County is slated to compete in the South Warren Lumberjack Classic April 30-May 1.
Butler County's 2021 schedule includes games versus South Warren, Russellville, Logan County, Hancock County, Daviess County, Muhlenberg County, Breckinridge County, Edmonson County, Franklin-Simpson, Ohio County, Whitesville Trinity, Central Hardin, Christian County, Caverna, Todd County Central, Grayson County, Bowling Green, Greenwood, Apollo, Owesboro Catholic and Hart County.
