The Butler County Youth Baseball Association (BCYBA) opened their spring 2021 season two weeks ago with games being played across Butler, Ohio, and Muhlenberg Counties. BCYBA has 208 players on 19 teams over 6 divisions that will be hitting the ball fields across 4 counties this spring.

“We are very thankful that we are able to offer a spring baseball and softball season this year,” says BCYBA President Katie Gary. “Things may be a little bit different this season due to COVID, but we are excited to watch the kids getting to play ball again this spring.”

Teams competing in the Major League Baseball division are the Jones Funeral Chapel and Monument Company Undertakers and the State Farm Jakes.

“The league really appreciates all of those that have stepped up to coach a team this spring. It takes a lot of time, and patience, when trying to teach these kids the games of baseball and softball. We are so thankful for all of those that have volunteered in any capacity for the kids this season,” says Gary.

A full schedule of games for each division is available here. Due to the closure of the Charles Black City Park, all home games will be played at either Rochester or Logansport.

The Butler County Youth Baseball Association provides the opportunity for boys and girls ages 3 to 12 to participate in youth baseball or softball. Six different divisions are available for children to enroll in: Jr. Rookie/T-Ball, Rookie baseball and softball, Minor league baseball, Major league baseball, and 12U softball. BCYBA is managed entirely through the work of volunteers, all the way from the coaches to the board of directors. Visit their website for more information.
