BCMS recognizes 8th grade basketball players and cheerleaders

Butler County Middle School recently recognized their eighth grade boys basketball players and cheerleaders.

 

Drake Bratcher is the son of Roscoe and Jessica Bratcher. He has played basketball for three years. He is also involved in football, track, and go-kart racing. " I would like to thank my coaches for believing in me and motivating me. I would also like to thank my parents for always pushing me to do my best and supporting me."

 

Thomas Embry is the son of Steve and Katherine Embry. He has played basketball for three years. He is also involved in baseball, football, and BETA." I would like to thank my coaches for constantly pushing me to be a better basketball player and a better person. I would also like to thank my teammates for always having my back and being there for me. Lastly I would like to thank my parents for always going to my games and always supporting me.

 

Felix Francisco is the son of Pedro Gomez and the late Layla Gomez. He has played basketball for three years. He is involved in football and BETA. "I would like to thank my parents for taking me to practice, and I would like to thank my coaches because they keep pushing me to play my best."

 

Kaiden Richardson is the son is Linzy Schlabauch and Bobby Richardson.  He has played basketball for three years. He is involved in football and BETA. "I want to thank my parents for my Mom taking me to ball games and practice and my Dad for believing in me reaching my potential. I thank my coaches for making me a better ball player and the young man I am today."


 

 

Tyler Wilson is the son of Tracy Wilson and Ben Wilson. He has played basketball for two years. He is involved in BETA. "I would like to thank my parents for being my biggest supporters and taking me to practice, bringing me food and cheering me on every single game. I also want to thank Coach Barnett and Coach Stovall for making me the player I am today but also making me want to be a better person."


 

Sam Lewis is the son of Tara and Neil Lewis. He has played basketball for one year. He is involved in football and BETA. "I feel blessed to be part of a team that appreciates hard work and encourages one another through adversity."


 

Mason Ashby is the son of Savannah Ashby and Kevin Ashby. He has played basketball for one year. He is involved in football and racing. "I would like to thank Coach Barnett for teaching us how to be a team. I would like to thank Coach Stovall for always pushing us to do our best."


 

 


Emily Gregory is the daughter of Amy Renfrow and has cheered for one year. She is involved in FCA. " I really enjoyed cheering and being part of the cheer team."


 


Audrey Belcher is the daughter of Amy Belcher and the late Dustin Belcher and has cheered for three years. She is involved in volleyball, track, BETA, STLP, student advisory council, FCCLA, and FCA. "I would like to thank God for giving me the opportunity to be part of this team. It is truly a blessing that I am able to be with this group of girls. Not only are they my teammates they are more like family to me. Also, I would like to thank Coach Bailey for always pushing me to do my best and being there for me at practice and in general. Lastly, I would like to thank my Mom for taking me to practices and games even though I know she didn't want to."


 


Charli Webster is the daughter of John Ross and Janesa Webster and has cheered for three years. She is involved in FCA and youth group at Richland Baptist Church. "I want to thank my parents, brother, grandparents and extended family for all of their love and support. I also want to thank Evie for showing me how to be a true friend. Always and Forever."


 


Sophie Minor is the daughter of Beth Murphree and Adam Shelton and has cheered for one year. She is involved in FCA. "I would like to thank the cheer team and my family for always supporting me and giving me an amazing team."


 


Gracie Wright is the daughter of James and and Ashley Robertson and has cheered for two years. She is involved in Band and BETA. "I would like to thank my Mom and James for taking me to all my games and always supporting everything that I do."


 


Kennedy Tucker is the daughter of Kristin Tucker and Harley Tucker and has cheered for three years. She is involved in volleyball, BETA, STLP, FCCLA, FCA, and yearbook staff. "I would like to thank my parents for supporting me and encouraging me to continue every season. I also would like to thank Coach Bailey for always being there for me and being an amazing coach while pushing me to do my best at every practice and game. Being on the team has not only brought me more experience but also brought me an amazing group of girls I like to call my family. Lastly, I want to thank God for giving me so many opportunities. I'm so blessed for all these girls and my coaches."


 

 

Sydney Young is the daughter of Wendy Young and Jeff Young and has cheered for two years.  She is involved in volleyball, BETA, FCA, FCCLA, STLP, and student advisory council. " I would like to thank my family for supporting me wanting to be in cheer, and my coach for making us have such a wonderful team, and my teammates for always being there for me and one another and God for giving me the opportunity to be a cheerleader. I am most thankful for my Mom who has always been there for me no matter what, without her I couldn't get through anything."
