BCMS Football falls to Muhlenberg in season finale

Butler County Middle football wrapped up its season on September 28. in Muhlenberg County. Both the seventh and eighth grade teams went head-to-head with the Mustangs for the Green River Valley Conference championship.

Unfortunately, neither squad defeated the Mustangs. The 7th grade came up short, 16-0; the 8th grade Bears squad lost 12-6 in overtime.

Both teams fought hard given the number of challenges they faced. Both squads suffered the loss of their starting quarterback and several other key positions due to injuries. Coach Kory Johnson and his staff would like to congratulate the Bears on GRVC runner-up.

“I am beyond proud of you all. You guys have faced adversity all year and kept fighting until the end. Y’all are champions in my eyes," said Coach Johnson.
