BCMS Football: Bears square off against Edmonson, Ohio
The Butler County Middle School Bears faced the tough Edmonson County Middle School Wildcats last Tuesday night at Edmonson. It was a defensive ballgame for both teams to say the least. In 7th grade, Jake Sorrels, found the end zone twice for the Bears. With seconds left on the clock, the Bears held the Wildcats on the 10-yard line resulting in a 14-8 win.

The 8th grade Bears played exceptional defense with Kaiden Richardson leading the pack in tackles. Early in the first quarter, the quarterback sneak play was a success, as QB Drake Bratcher crossed into the end zone. The 8th grade Bears claimed the 8-0.
On Saturday, September 2nd, the Bears faced the Eagles of Ohio county. Both teams - BCMS 7th and 8th, came out victorious.
In the 7th grade game, the Bears got going early, scoring two plays into the first possession. The Bears would lead at the half 22-0. Late in the 4th quarter the Bears would find the end zone again and win with a final of 30-0.

In the 8th grade matchup the Bears got tested early by the Eagles. Both teams were playing solid Defense throughout the first half. With neither team on the board early in the 3rd quarter, the Bears found the end zone to make the score 6-0. BCMS would come up with a huge interception in the 4th quarter that would lead to another touchdown. Butler County pulled out the win with a final of 12-0.
