The Butler County Middle School cheerleaders traveled to Warren Central to compete in the Cheer Mania competition. There were many squads in attendance. BCMS swept their division with first place. This win puts them undefeated for the past 7 years in local competitions.

Coach Smith-Thomas said, “I could not ask for a more talented and respectful squad. We had a few injuries before the competition last Saturday. I had to make changes three days before competing. The squad practiced every day until they learned the changes. Paige Alford had to step it up and replace one of our injured girls. We are very proud of her for learning the routine in a short amount of time. The captains were outstanding leaders throughout the season. The squad is definitely proud of a winning season.”

The cheerleaders and Coach Smith-Thomas would like to thank the following: Assistant Coaches: Audrey Pharris and Tasha Givens, the cheer parents, Bewley’s Choreography and Tumbling, Mr. Howard and the board, Mr. Tuck, Mr. Freeman, and our transportation crew for this season---Mr. Reed, Cindy McCoy, and Karen Shepherd.
