BCMS bridge-building students in Top 10 at BRIMS

On Saturday, March 2, the 18th annual BRIMS Regional Bridge Building Competition was held at the WKU Center of Research and Development in Bowling Green.  This year's competition featured four schools and 96 qualifying contestants.  24 students from Butler County Middle School entered bridges in the middle school division.

Butler County Middle School students placing in the top ten and receiving trophies were Nekayah Gray (2nd place with an efficiency of 1173) and Shaylyn Coleman (10th place with and efficiency of 926).  This is the third year these two students have been in the top ten.  Also, Nekayah Gray brought home and Architectural Design trophy for the artistic design of a bridge - one of only two such awards.  She has won this award two years in a row.
