BCHS Volleyball picks up wins

The 2018 Butler County High School Girls Volleyball season got started with a bang on Tuesday night with victories over Metcalfe County and Russellville in the season opener at BCHS. The Lady Bears defeated Metcalfe in straight sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-18. Butler County took control early and never looked back. Solid defense and playing as a team was the keys to their success according to the coaching staff.

The Lady Bears' second match was a little sluggish, to begin with, but they settled in and defeated Russellville in straight sets as well by scores of 25-17 and 25-11.
Next week the young ladies hit the road and travel to Cloverport on Tuesday then Todd County on Thursday with both varsity and JV in action. The team is coached by Ruthie Minton and Scott Flener.
