BCHS Volleyball

The Butler County High School Volleyball team’s season is underway under the direction of head coach Steve McLean and assistant coach Kim Grubb.  Both coaches are new to the volleyball coaching scene, but have been, and are involved in several other sports.  The team consists of 21 players: 1 senior, 5 juniors, 8 sophomores, 4 freshmen, 2 eighth graders, and 1 7th grader.  There is a lot of new, young talent on the team.

This year will be a building year according to McLean as the team adjusts to new coaching philosophies and many young players.  Coaches McLean and Grubb are very optimistic about this season, as well as the future of Butler County Volleyball.  Although the team has gotten off to a slow start with varsity going 0-5, there have already been many improvements, and the team is moving daily in the right direction.

The Lady Bears will travel to Edmonson County on Tuesday, Sept. 9th and host Fredrick Fraize on Thursday.
