BCHS Track team honors players at banquet

Monday, May 14 the Butler County Track Team celebrated the end of their season with their annual banquet. The coaches, Chief Melton and Major Redmond, recognized the members on this years' squad: Seniors Clay Embry, Cory Miller, and Jeffery Wilson; Juniors Dylan Havens, Matt Flener, Kenneth Johnson, Paula Hiliker, and Chelsea Fields; Sophomores Cody White, Drew Henderson, Ethan Jenkins, Travis Higgs, Dylan Snyder, Krystal Neal, Caitlin Price, Cayli Bevil, Katrina Sims, Shaedy Scott, and Cassie Bratcher; Freshman Barry Washer; and Middle Schoolers Cameron Price, Olivia Neighbors, Cara Skipworth, Brooklynn Frashure, and Hannah Perry.

After the team was recognized, individual awards were handed out.

Also, a special recognition went to Clay Embry and Dylan Havens for qualifying for the Kentucky State Track Tournament. Clay will run the 110 and 300 Hurdles and Dylan will compete in High Jump. The Class 2A Kentucky State Track Meet will take place Friday, May 18th at Owsley Frazier Cardinal Park at the University of Louisville.
