BCHS tennis team set to serve it up

Tennis season is fast approaching and members of the BCHS tennis team will kick off their season today with a scrimmage at South Warren High School. Their first match is March 19 at Logan County. Clint Dockery returns as the coach for the Bears and Lady Bears this season.

The Lady Bears will be led by sophomores Chanda Hampton and Katona Dockery as well as juniors Ashley Bell, Sierra Fields, and Laura Hunt. Members of the Lady Bears Tennis team are 6th graders Ashley Meredith and Jasmine Creager; 7th graders Ashley Mudd and Dalys Bishop; 8th graders Emily Wallace, Hannah Barrow, and Amber Mahaney; 10th graders Chanda Hampton and Katona Dockery; and 11th graders Ashley Bell, Sierra Fields, and Laura Hunt.

The Bears return junior Amit Hajari and sophomore Dakota Merrick from last year's squad. Newcomer Cody Havens will be expected to contribute as a junior. Members of the Bears tennis team are 6th graders Brennan Grubb and Ty Smith; 7th grader Austin Phelps; 8th grader Ivan Beasley; 9th graders Remmington Harpe, Matthew Embry, Conner Reed, and Jake Phelps; 10th grader Dakota Merrick; and 11th graders Amit Hajari and Cody Havens.
