Butler County High School Swim had a great day at KHSAA Region 2 Championships.

The Girls' team finished 6th overall in the region (out of 17 teams). The Girls' team consists of Mattie Smith, Lydia Wells, Briley Webster, and Emma Winchel.

Mattie Smith is the Regional Champion in the 200 and 500 freestyle, awarded All-Region Team, and 2022 Region 2 Outstanding Female swimmer of the year.

Earlier this year, Mattie signed her National Letter of Intent to further her education and swim for the University of Southern Indiana.

Dawson Deel finished 13th in the 200 Free with a personal record and 9th in the 100 backstroke, breaking his school record.

Briley Webster finished 14th in the 200 Free with a personal record and 13th in the 100 Breaststroke with a personal season record.

Girls 200 Free Relay finished in 5th place, and 400 Free Relay finished in 6th (Lydia Wells, Briley Webster, Emma Winchel, Mattie Smith).

The Swim team is coached by Brandie Smith and Krista Webster.
